This is the fourth in Linda Lael's vampire series. Linda Lael never fails to provide a good read.
I love Ms. Millers books on vampires. This was a great one.
Kristina Holbrooke is one of a kind. Daughter of vampires Maeve and Calder Holbrooke, Kristina is not a vampire. She has some magical powers; but tries as much as possible to live as a human. Over 130 years old, Kristina has been a widow for nearly a century and has vowed never to marry again. That is, until she meets Max Kilcarragh, a widower with two young daughters. Kristina and Max are drawn together. Kristina realizes that he is the man she has been waiting for her whole life. But outside forces may not let them stay together.
This is the last book in Miller's vampire series. I liked Kristina and Max, but Kristina's backstory did get a little boring. This story has two of the scariest villains I have read about. Little girl vampires Venetia and Canaan, are bloodthirsty savages. They've appeared in the previous books in the series, but this time we see just how deadly they are. I thought this was the best book in the series and a good finish to the series. My rating: 4 Stars.
Enjoyed this book. The 4th in series by author.
Extremely slow read, i can read books pretty quick, but this one i just couldn't seem to get thru, but of course, i have that problem where it would bother me if i didn't at least finish it and get to the end, before i move on to the next book, so i perservered, ugh. It was ok.
This is my first time reading a book by Linda Lael Miller and my experience was GOOD. She is very easy to read and explains in detail every character so as to feel like you know them. If you like vampire love stories this is a book you must read. It has suspense and mystery which I love...because is not just a love story.
A beautiful story to get lost in. Wonderfully written
