I bought a Standard Membership at the prepurchase price. I debated for several days, but realized that I will get enough benefit to make it worthwhile. Who is with me on this? |

I took the plunge and got the Limited Membership. I'll be happy if I get 30 books from my WL in the year to come. I don't really care about the Directed Delivery or the Multi-Copy Requesting. One thing I am concerned about is the ability to see the number of available copies of books. Won't that feature still be on the reminder list?

Yay Pam! I have quite a while left from my Gold Key that will transfer to a Standard so I didn't need to buy yet. Janet, I haven't seen this confirmed one way or another, but the way it is worded in the Membership documents I would say no, its only going to be available to the Standard Memberships after the change. |

Looking at the prices and the benefits of the limited and standard plans, it made sense to go with the standard at $18.50 (with fee)at prepurchase price, that's $1.54 a month with a much larger wish list to use.
I am a cheapskate by nature, and considered all options, including leaving and this was definitely the way to go. I am not done with PBS, nor them with me lol!

I immediately signed up for the limited membership @ $12. Now I wish I'd signed up for the discounted standard membership @ $18. Does anyone know if there is a way to pay the extra and change memberships . . . from limited to standard? |

Upon looking at the details of each membership package, I think what it means with the Standard Membership is that you will be able to see the number of books in the system directly from the book details page. I am hoping the reminder list will still show that for the rest of us. Karen, that's a good question. I wonder if they will let members upgrade by just paying the difference between the two packages. I still think the Limited Membership will work fine for me and I'm happy to be in the PBS family. Where else can a girl have this much fun for $1 a month? Karen, Use the Contact Us feature and ask if TPTB will let you upgrade - maybe if you have the $6 ($8) in PBS money they could just take it. Ask today so that maybe you get the discount?! Good luck. It will probably take a few days with all the traffic. Don't know if live help can help. I bought the standard membership - I usually don't have time to look around for books, and if I can get deals on books for my mom, it's worth it. (Thanks everyone for agreeing to deals so I can spend down some of my credits before 2/15!) |

I've been a member since 2005 and bought the Standard membership. I don't like change Marilyn, I don't understand why you say you are spending down credits at this point if you're going with the Standard. Is it in anticipation of people leaving and books not being available? I hope there's not a downside I haven't considered that I'll regret later. I have 176 credits at present. ~Jeanne |

I did it. I've liked Gold Key so far so I'll see what happens over the next year & a half until my membership runs out. |

Jeanne, I'm spending down - keeping 10-15 credits - just in case this is the precursor to a downturn. I didn't want to get stuck with 30-70 credits if something else happens. I'll still be actively trading, just not with a major bank of credits. Plus I just purchased/found about 12-15 of my WL books. |

Please use the Contact Us at the bottom of the page about upgrading. Live Help will take you to the volunteer Tour Guides. We can't do anything regarding money. |
