Have you received an RC that you think is so outrageous, silly, demanding, etc. that you think it should make the Top Ten RC list?

I've got 6 so far.

I won't post what I have here on the message to protect the guilty, but if you're curious, you can read them in my profile.

I didn't read your profile. I had one that went on and on about camp fires and how her husband says she's like a dog for her sense of smell.  I didn't read the whole thing-it was like 3 long paragraphs and I think the RC was basically a non-smoking book. I turned it down because I didn't want to read the whole thing and there may have been something else in all that rambling.

Oh, wow. #4 & 5 are extra special. I'm feeling left out, over a year and I haven't been blessed with any of the crazy RCs yet!

I think I feel bad for #3. Surely that one must be the result of a terrible experience?

I once got one that was seven (I counted) paragraphs long.  I really wish I had copied and saved it.  It was total insanity.

I'm about to put no scribble marks on mine! Some may not care and I don't really know why but it drives me crazy! I feel like its unpostable and I don't want to send it back out. I don't get why a finger smudge would make a book unpostable but not a kids scribble mark. Maybe it just drives me nuts because my kids are grown or maybe its because I've got so many frequently that had them!

I think we all have things that irk us more than others! I posted a new book, got an order, and promptly sloshed black coffee on the corner! I was a demon with a rag, but it stained the corner of the very last page top, maybe 1/5". I sent a mea culpa PM that I'd have to cancel and remove the book, and was instructed to please NOT cancel the order...he'd received much worse in "postable" condition and didn't want to take a chance on what he'd get the second go around.  He might have preferred a tiny bit of staining to scribbles...

I got an order for a workbook that told me not to send a completely filled in useless workbook, and one that said each and every page must be present. If it's a book I haven't read, I'm probably not going to count them, unless it's obvious, I tend to presume they are all there.

I received one the other day that made me laugh.

The RC asked that if the book had been posted directly to his/her  WL, to please cancel as he/she was a big believer in FIFO. The funny part is, the book was requested from one of the Is this on your WL?  threads and had to be posted to his/her WL.

Are you sure it was the same person? If you posted it from the book description page or even if hte little info bubble was open when you posted the book it could have gone to someone else.  Or if the person who asked you had their account on hold it would have ended up putting it to FIFO.  The autorequest only works on held accounts if you are #1.  I learned this recently when someone wanted ot post some WL books to me and I had my account on hold. The only autorequests that came through were the ones where I was the #1.

It was definitely the same person. I sent a PM to the member that requested the book explaining that I didn't want to just disregard their RC etc.. They said it was fine and it all worked out.

I think I had the same one as Caviglia. By the time I was done reading it, I was laughing like a fool. After a looong list of RCs, she said to ignore them all, if the book was published by one of the following list of companies. That one made my day.
