One of Campbells "Innerworld" Futeristig Romance novels. This one is my favorite of the series. Falcon is part "cat-race" and falls for a female PI named Steve.

From back cover:

Fierce and cunning Falcon had always denied his emotions believing they would sap his incredible strength. Then the empath set out to find the ring that could destroy his futuristic world and he ran into an unexpected setback a beauty wo roused his untested desire.

Tough and independent Stephanie Barbanell didnt need any man to help her track down a missing scientist But tempted by Falcon's powerful magnetism she gladly joined forces with the mysterious stranger. Steve longed to give in to her burning ardor to taste the ecstasy of Falcon's kisses until she discovered that their love could never be unless one of the sacrificed everything for the other.

Divorced, tough and independent P.I., Stephanie Barbanell is drawn to Falcon's powerful magnetism but doesn't want his help and she certainly doesn't want to fall in love with a freak with strange paranormal abilities. She has children and can't leave them. He can't live in her world. What happens when their assignments bring them together can't be ignored.

Enjoyed this book and finding out how Falcon, who was introduced in Pyramid Dreams, meets his Shalla "soul mate."

Older book but still a futuristic romance. I liked it.
