Yup - 9" so far and still coming down!  (in Plymouth, a NW Minneapolis burb).   It's a winter wonderland!

Beautiful picture, Jerelyn.  I don't have a digital camera or I would soooooo be taking pictures of the fruit trees right in front of my house.    Trees with red berries loaded with snow.  Such a pretty picture.

Wow -- very, very pretty -- but having reptilian blood, I am only too happy to experience it photographically and not personally. Give me the hot tropics anytime! (Of course, with the beach, a lounge chair, and an umbrella drink!!)

ETA: oh, and a good book...which should go without saying....

Beautiful picture Letty, but I'm with Deb and have left the snow behind after living with it for about 65 years! Here it is 70 degrees, sunshine and desert breezes. I can't find a thing to complain about!

Former Minnesotan missing the snow!!!  My "homebase" is on the North Shore and it sounds like they've gotten hammered in the past 24 hrs.

Diane, I hope it takes at least a week for you to get your first snow.  I do not want it to snow while I am there next week.  I love mountain snow but city snow I can do without.

It sure was a beautiful snowfall unless you had to be out driving in it like me yesterday morning!

That is beautiful! But it feels so weird to know your house looks like that while I was just outside washing my car in shorts and a tank.

Also the Philadelphia area here , I had to take off my sweatshirt and put on a tee.  Its unseasonably warm, but it gets dark early.  Its oxymoronic!!!

Hope you're enjoying your snow.   I can certainly wait for our first snow here - hopefully it will be in April 2011 so it melts the same week.

We had a brief dusting last night and I was just thinking of heading out for a bit and it is now snowing in earnest. And cold enough to stick. Sigh, I guess I will just have to stay home and read. Dammit anyway cool

I saw that storm on the weather map this morning.  But at least it doesn't stay until April there.  Kitties hot chocolate, and books, heaven!

No hot chocolate, but lots of tea. Just watching the news, and the drivers are falling apart in this in typical Seattle fashion sad

Didn't anyone tell you folks who moved to Minnesota that there are four seasons there-----mosquitos, mosquitos, mosquitos, and SNOW ?

Yes, but you folks from the Midwest know how to drive in the damn stuff. They don't out here. And if they do get in a spin out, do they stay safely in their cars until help arrives? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, they wander all over the freakin' shoulder not realizing that if they could spin out someone else can too sad
