This story is a bit different than the last few Jo Goodman stories. This one involved a train robbery and the abduction of Phoebe Apple, the heroine. The story kept me turning the pages but I didn't really believe the relationship between Remington and Phoebe.
The dialogue between Remington and Phoebe was snappy, as always. However, they did not speak to me as a couple. Overall, I enjoyed the plot's twists but missed a compelling relationship between the couple.
