Hi ... not new to PBS, but new to the forums, really.  Near as I can tell from a search, this is allowed, but please let me know if not, of course.
I have a number of BookMooch points left over after some heavy trading (I have nearly 50 points there right now) that I would love to trade for some PBS points, even at 3-to-1 (or make offer).  Anyone willing/needing to make the swap?  Please PM me if so.  Thanks.

Sorry Chuck, but this is not allowed as per the red sticky thread at the top of the Book Bazaar forum. Maybe you can try at the Bookmooch site?

Good luck.

(3) No selling books for anything but credits, and no offering anything but books for credits. Freebies/incentives can be "non-swappable" items, but remember that non-Media-Mail eligible items CANNOT be sent using Media Mail postal rate. For example, DVDs and VHS tapes and magazines and pamphlets/booklets without ISBNs are all NOT permitted to be posted at PBS; they can all be offered as freebies/incentives, though. But if the freebie/incentive items contain advertising (ie, magazines or booklets bought at a supermarket checkout stand), or are not Media items (anything but books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes) they can't be sent Media Mail, so the whole package will have to go by another shipping rate. DVDs/VHS tapes/CDs can be sent using Media Mail postal rate.

Don't bother with BM forums they are as worthless and most can't get a post posted there - very very tight  censorship there

One more reason why PBS is a far superior Swapping Site... :)

Here is Richard's post regarding offering other site credits on PBS. You should both edit your posts to abide by the site rules.

All right, here is the PBS Team word on this.

You can sell your PBS Credits here.[   ]

You cannot sell anything else.

That means that [  ], you could have posted "Anyone want to sell me some credits?  Contact me by PM if so," and then in Personal Messages explained what you are willing to pay.  But you should not post a topic selling anything for credits.  If in PM negotiations anyone was willing to accept the currency of another site for PBS credits, then you could make the exchange.

It is a small point, but there you have it.  Don't hawk your wares (whatever they are) for credits.   But you can ask if anyone is looking to sell credits, and negotiate payment with them privately.

We are sure someone else will find a way to do the above inappropriately somehow, and we will hear from members again asking us to clarify, but for now this is the ruling.

I think they read this part in your post:

"I have about 250 BM points that I would love to trade for PBS points - 3 BM points for 1 PBS point"

and took it the wrong way. They may have read that and thought that you also were wanting to trade your BM points for PBS credits.  In a quick glimpse it may seem like that it was you ment, however if you go further in your post it clarifies that you while you may be wanting to be able to do this, you understand it is against the rules therefore you are more than willing to get your PBS credits the old-fashioned way.
