I basically don't have any free cash at the moment but I got 2 credits just laying around, and I'm wanting some art supplies so if someone is willing I could trade the credits for some arts supplies used is fine.

  • markers
  • color penciles
  • drawing pens
  • color perminate markers.
  • etc.

they wouldn't cost much to ship and it would really help me out. So please message if you are intrested! ^.^

You are not allowed to trade PBS credits for anything other than books.  You can sell them but you can't swap them for non-book items.

This never fails to crack me up, but at the same time drives me bonkers, leaving me shaking my head in amazement. Why do some things just stick in ones craw and irritate til becoming pearls? LOL Talk about a mixed metaphor! How ironic it is that credits are strictly limited to book 'Purchase' (and 'purchase is like a potty mouth word, too :-).oops, Swap. And further, to ONE book per ONE token/credit, do not violate! Zis eeez zee rule! But wait! If you just go sign into a forum, that's like you moved to Zurich, separate country! Total anarchy but neatly contained, stay within your boundary do NOT color outside the lines! ROFL and the best part is the sale loophole, all I can do is hope just one person devised all this stuff, if not, there are just too many stupid people in one small company! It goes like this: NO you may NOT use credits to buy art supplies! Regulated book Only! ONE book, ONE credit! NO EXCEPTIONS!! However, I will BUY your credit from you for, say...$20.00, and then I'll SELL you some art supplies for ummmmm how bout $20.00??? OR you could 'friend' me a credit cuz you looove me, and I will 'friend' you some supplies cuz I looove you too! So not only did a really stupid law pass the books (baaad pun) but everytime you turn a page someone (who isn't an employee of stupid company, but is just a peon paperback reader like the rest of us) will notify you of said stupid rule, maybe even INFORM on you to the "Really Stupid Rule Violations Sector 12-B". (Why? Do they get extra bread rations? More head shaking) And watch! Someone (head shaking to rattling point) will say, "We like stupid, we belong in stupidity, if you want to think or be logical or smart you can always go somewhere else where they allow free thinking." Or this post will just 'poof' This post is undoubtedly in violation of the "This is a book club. All attempts at freedom of speech will result in public burning of your books". ROFLMAO

actually some post the rule because if the site owners see an inappropriate request/transaction they can close a person's account - so I'd say some remind about the rules to be nice and help the person not violate the rules. None of us got to make  on the rules. THey could easily say we couldn't do anything but request books with our credits and not be able to purchase them from anyone but pbs kiosk or get them by trading. You could always contact TPTB and suggest a forum for trading credits for other items...they might go for it.

Jessica, if you haven't already been there, check out the RAOK forum - there's a thread probably near the top but at least on the first page Wishes We Can Grant where you can post a request for some art supplies. None of the items you're looking for seem 'big ticket' and someone may have some lying around they want to share with someone. It doesn't hurt to try.

Wow, crazy much?

I posted the rule in case the OP was not aware of it.  I could have simply turned her into the PBS team who may, if they choose to, close her account and kick her off the site for posts like this.

If you believe the PBS rules are "stupid", feel free to leave the site all together.  I don't know that anyone'd miss you.
