Better than Mary HigginsClark and anyone like her. A must for mystery & suspense lovers - exciting to the very last! Superior piece of fiction.

In her perfect life, theres one thing she doesnt have

As dawn breaks over her pristine home on Long Island Sound, Sara Klein, pregnant with her first child, awakens to a nightmare. Federal agents have ransacked her house and confiscated the contents of her husband Marks office. Away on a business trip in Hong Kong for his brokerage firm, Mark has vanished without a trace, leaving Sara to be hounded by a relentless Federal prosecutor who accuses her of being an accomplice to his crime--- theft of millions of dollars belonging to his clients.

The truth

A former employee of the same firm as Mark, Sara turns to her ex-business associates for help, but they have been instructed not to have any contact with her. Abandoned and alone, she realizes how little she really knows about Mark Klein, the man shes married to, the father of her child. Sara scrambles from the isolated points of Long Island to Manhattans powerful financial citadels in a desperate search for Mark, the misappropriated capital and, finally, the truth--- a quest that could destroy both her and her unborn child.
