Would anyone that is on bookmooch & PBS be willing to trade points [1-for-1]? I have many bookmooch points, but am needing some for PBS in able to order some books for a book program in which I am involved. The books are available on this site, but not bookmooch. It would be much appreciated. Â Â |

I have not traded on bookmooh before how dose it compare to this one. I have over 100 books setting here that I might switch over to Bookooch. Wandering if they might do better over there, is it as user friendly. typo correction Last Edited on: 2/4/10 1:19 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

In my opinion, paperback is a much better site, it is more organize. I have problems finding books I want on bookmooch. When you "wishlist" something there, it is a free-for-all when it does get posted and not orderly first come first serve like paperback. Look around the site and see if there is anything you want and then post maybe a few books. They do not help in making sure items are received in a timely manner. I too have some bookmooch credit I would like to get rid of and wuld like to get PBS credits in return if possible. |

I belong to both and like both for different reasons... PBS is the place for in demand books unless you are looking to see it posted as you are searching for it on BM. However, you can post anything on bookmooch including magazines. My hubby doesn't care what condition books he wants are in as long as he can read it so I find older sci-fi there easier. Also, it gives me a place to post books that I could not post here, there is a condition feature that you can describe your copy which I do with water damaged, written in, cleaved etc... The site does reccommend stating damage in the condition section but some don't so if you care you do need to ask first about the condition or utilize the spot when "mooching" that is for questions or comments. Also if you want it sooner than later you should ask when it will ship too Another nice feature is you get points by listing books so you can mooch like 3 books even if no one has asked for yours yet. The more books you list the more points you get but you have to keep a certain ratio (you can't post a ton of books to get a bunch of points then use all your points without ever sending a book out. Also, I wouldn't list too many at once because you can be easily bombarded The Forums are a big plus here, they are non-functional there however, I have messaged others asking for a deal when they had a bunch of books i wanted and usually not a problem. But the community bonding and friend making is the best part of PBS in my opinion :) Hope that helps... Take Care, Lisa |

I just joined bookmooch about 2 weeks ago. In the first week, I had about 11 books requested from me, so that was 11 credits given to me, plus I had 10 credits (you get 1/10th of a credit for each book you post). The books requested from me were books that would have sat here for a very long time. I used all these newfound credits to request books I had on my reminder list here. Since my credits are slow to come by here, I save them for wishlist books. So, I think the two websites kinda compliment each other, at least for me. |

I would also be willing to swap bookmooch points for PBS points in anyone is interested. |

Me too. I posted too many books on BM and was swamped with requests almost immediately. Now I have 12 books on my Reminder list just waiting to be sent to me with no points to get them with and 17.1 points on BM with practically nothing to mooch |
