Two non-series novellas.
Two novellas - "The Train Now Departing" & "When the Mousetrap Closes". Both very enjoyable reads and a departure if you are only familiar with Grimes's mystery novels. Both are somewhat bleak in tone and involve a woman's relationship with a man. In each there is a sense of desperation, although I was somewhat exasperated with the female character in "Train" as I couldn't grasp just why she was maintaining this relationship.
