Excellent premise, well delivered story. Entertaining and light read, but the story has stuck with me. The story was rolling along and I found the main character likeable, but not so relateable. Her life is rather privileged and her struggles don't seem severe. Losing your tennis partner at the country club and finding out you had more fairweather friends than you thought is more disappointing than devastating. Questioning your purpose in life and whether or not to become a parent have more universal appeal and added to the development of the story. Jennifer's reflections on her relationship with her family, especially her sister, added depth. Her struggle with her marriage after her husband's actions dramatically change their circumstances, unfolded as expected. Wondering what was causing her dreams and whether or not the information was reliable provided intrigue. Then the story presented a totally unexpected and delicious twist. The transformation of the story totally worked for me and enhanced the end of the novel. The author presents both a character study as well as a look at relationships and what influences our chosen paths in life. Fun read.
