Great!
I found it helpful because I am forever confusing certain characters. That, and because it's fun/interesting to look back and see both the development and differences of the Transformers series.
Examples:
In Transformers Cybertron, Optimus Prime is a leader, apt to rather corny puns (such as: "He played me like a piano!"). In Transformers Armada, he's still slightly "funny," but way more serious. One constant is that he's deeply concerned for the well being of his teammates.(another is his color scheme!)

The prequel to Transformers Armada is Transformers Energon.
