This book about the Titanic is different than any other book I have read. It has a bit of biography of some of the more famous boarders. It also covers the inventor, owner of the wireless. It also covered information about that night not previously covered in other books I have read. There was little repetitive information. I liked this one.

I thought this book was an interesting history of what the survivors went through on that dark, cold night in April. I especially appreciated the testimony of Strauss family. Being part owner of Macy's, he certainly could have used his influence to be on a lifeboat. He chose not to. It seems that when his wife heard that he was not getting on the boat, she gave up her seat to be with him. This elderly couple was highly spoken of by the survivors.
