It never fails! Wednesday afternoon at work I was bored and went surfing on Amazon...noticed a book I had on my wishlist there had dropped in price. It's out of print already, which is a shame as it's a wonderful medieval historical series (The Fools Guild mysteries by Alan Gordon) so even used was running over $50 for a long time. I finally found it for under $30 so went ahead and ordered it. I had had it on my WL here for almost 3 years...months in advance of its release date even, and had been at #1 that whole time.

Thursday I woke up sick, didn't go to work, slept most of the day, ditto Friday except for my doctor appt. Totally forgot I'd ordered the book and to come here and delete it from my WL...yesterday I peek on PBS and what do you know...the very same book was posted to my wishlist here! LOL The label hasn't been printed so I could cancel it, but I've decided to let it come to me and pick the best of the two copies since this is a hardcover for my Keeper shelf, and will pass the other copy on to the next in line here, since there are about 20 people waiting almost as patiently as I have been. :)

Moral of the story...want a wishlist book posted? Go buy it and forget to delete it from your wishlist. LOL

Cheryl...Same thing happened to me!  Got an Amazon gift card for my birthday and ordered a book that had been on my WL for a couple of years...I was #1, but nothing was happening (a Brit mystery...one of Andrew Taylor's Lydmouth series).  Ordered it, forgot to take it off my WL and, lo and behold, the next time I looked at my account the book had been posted to me!!!  It had been accepted and printed, so wasn't going to cancel.  At least, I got the other two books I ordered cancelled.  I guess that's one way to do it!!
