This is my second book, a collection of stories and personal essays I published in the alternative press over the last 10 years, 1997-2006. These stories are mostly character driven--grandiose internet revolutionaries, maniacal zine publishers, greedy record producers--mixed with my own fumbling attempts at art, love, and commerce. My style has been compared to Nick Hornby, Jonathan Ames, and David Sedaris, but I can't really say if that's accurate or not. I think I bring something very different - a sense of deep sadness and regret that these authors, brilliant as they are, don't usually delve into. I hope you will give this book a chance, and if you do and you enjoy it, I'd love to hear from you.
