A fun lil book. There are several in this series about the small town of Mule hollow. The Town is dying so 4 women decide to take an ad out in a paper to get women to move their to boost the economy. In comes Lacy Brown to open a beauty shop to pave the way for the women to come. Funny and swet story as Lacy herself finds a relationship even though she swore she was only moving to open the business. :)

A really fun book. I enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. The dedication brought tears to my eyes. The author (a widow) dedicated this book (her first) to her husband she will join someday in heaven. And it's really a funny book. Amazing. I really liked the characters Lacy and Clint - plus the whole cast.

Debra Clopton has an outstanding sense of humor, and this book is filled with it. It's very funny, and so vivid that I can see the characters coming to life as I read. Especially that wild and crazy Lacy Brown!

I enjoyed this book. Though she could have fleshed out some of the side characters and subplots better, I enjoyed the characters and story. Would love to read more by this author.

I highly disliked this book. Sure there were a few funny points but I was quite annoyed with Lucy. For being a "christian" book, there was not true seeking of Christ's will. It seemed like she knew what she wanted to do and just decided "Oh that's the will of God" and went off on her mission. Her mission to change everyone else and not herself. This seems to be the trend with christian romantic fiction these days. Fluff. And forcing everyone around to change to their perspective; never learning or accepting or changing into a better reflection of Christ. In addition, she always assumes she's right (especially in her relationship with Clint) causing many problems because of her stubborness and pride. So I'd give this one 2 thumbs down.
