I am trying to find a book that was written prior to 1992.  I am going to guess it was a mid-late 1980's book.  The book is about a group of women, and it bounces between their stories (can't remember how they all came together in the end).  All of their drama centered around having babies or the inablility to have a baby.  One woman was a boutique owner.  Another was a woman having an affair, and she wasn't sure if the baby belonged to her husband or lover.  Another woman and her husband already had a houseful of children and were not planning on having any more, but find they are expecting again.

If anyone remembers a book along these lines - I'd love to find it again!

Thanks!

Kira

That plot sounds an awful lot like a made for tv movie from the 90s--I think it was called Mixed Blessings.  Maybe it was based on a book?

ETA:  I just looked Mixed Blessings up here, it was a book by Danielle Steel.

I checked out the Danielle Steel book, and while the plot does sound VERY similar, that isn't it.  Thank you though!  I appreciate the help!

It took a lot of scrolling through pages and pages, but I finally found it!

The book is called "Labor Pains" and it is by Kate Klimo.  It was published in 1989.
