I'm trying to find a book I had as a child.

As I recall, it was a white-covered paperback (possibly with a colored illustration on the cover) printed on pulp with black and white illustrations of rare, mythical, strange, nonsensical, or similarly classified animals in alphabetical order (not positive about that). The only one I recall is an animal that would bite its own tail and roll up or down hills.

The book would have been less than 100 pages most likely. I would have had it in the early 80's, so I'm guessing it was a 70's book, possibly early 80's.

If anyone has a clue what this is, I'd be very grateful for the information.

I'm like you, I read it and remember it vaguely but don't have it or the name. I'm still looking for a book I read in the 70s. lol
