I posted a book and there are lots of copies (25) in the system, yet my book was requested the next day.  When you order a book that was "recently posted" by clicking on the recently posted area - do you get that exact book or the next one available in the system?  Or do you think someone ordered it off my bookshelf?  Same with reviews,  if someone clicks to order from a review you posted do they get "your" copy?

I am not complaining,  I just want to full understand the system.  Thanks!

I think somebody requested it off your bookshelf.

The system will always select the next copy in line unless they go directly to your shelf to request the book.

Actually 25 in the system really isn't that many.  Many, many books have 500 + in the system.  When you post a book that is already in the system and it shows up on the books posted today page and someone orders the book-the book request goes to teh 1st person who posted the book. It's possible that all the copies were ordered before yours-or enough people declined RCS and books requests to get to you. If a lot of people saw that book posted and decided they wanted it-it's entirely possible   It's also possible that someone was looking right at your shelf and ordered the book directly from you.  Maybe they saw a post you made or ordered a book from you before.  Maybe they sent you a book at sometime and decided to order books from someone they've had a transaction with before. Or maybe they looked at your shelf because of a post you made.

Thanks all, that is what I thought, and MsRight - you are right - with a club this size I guess it is easy to move 25 books.  I was just pleasantly surprised when it moved so quickly.
