A fairly interesting read. The descriptions of the country's political, economic, and environmental successes sound a bit whitewashed. A scan of more current websites turns up darker descriptions such as "frequent reports of torture and abuse of prisoners, especially political prisoners" and considerably bleaker economic conditions than described in the book. Some of the book's statements are puzzling, such as the one that Vandals were "horse-hair wearing Christians who lived in tents" who, after invading Tunisia, "persecuted Christians." Huh? More specifics please. At least it includes a map -- not in the front of the book, where you can find it right away, but tucked in the very back.
