Great little book for an older child ( and any adult)! Packed with historical information that is easy to understand, the author explains how America's most famous holiday has roots in ancient harvest festivals. The Pilgrim story, and the symbolic tom turkey is also explained. It's a great book to read alound to the family on Thanskgiving day!
