I love love stories, and I love vampire stories - this has both. It grabs you from the beginning. I just could not put it down. I was so captivated by the story that when I was done with this, I ran out to the bookstore to get the sequel!

Considering how much I love Vampires, this is one of the best stories I have read about them by far. Stephanie Meyer puts in a new twist on the myth, making Vampires more real than ever. This book really brings out the true feelings of the vampires, adding more life to the undead.

My teenage daughter bought this book and suggested I read it...skeptical because it came from the "teen section", I read it..and like everyone else I was hooked..I have read the entire series and after the 3rd one, I was hoping for more...I can't wait to see what else she writes! This is truly a great series, Vampires, Werewolves, love,'s all there!

I love vampire stories and this is now an all time favorite. I was skeptical at first since this book is found in the teen/young adult genre, but like so many others I was hooked immediately and could not put it down. I bought the sequels to this book as soon as I finished & devoted the entire weekend to reading them!

This is an engaging story that draws you right in from the start. A teenage girl moves from Sunny Phoenix to the rainy northwest near Seattle. The story chronicles her experiences at her new school where she meets an interesting group of kids. The story is woven artfully between love, danger, vampires, jealousy, devotion. Great read, didn't want to put it down.

Loved this book. No, it's not high-brow literature but it's a great story and I enjoyed reading it. The rest of the series isn't as good as this one.

I have heard of so many people getting addicted to this book. When I found it at a thrift shop I decided to give it a try - if I couldn't get into it then I could put it on paperback swap and not loose anything (just gain a credit). I could not put this book down. I LOVED it and am looking forward to reading the second book and watching the movie. A friend once told me "if you read the book you may neglect your kids" it was true (okay so they weren't neglected but did get less attention for the few days it took me to read the book)
