The book turned out to be a decent page turner.Finished it within
a day.The premise was simple. At times it had it's freaky
moments. All said and done,I'd read another by this author.

A horror story that takes place during the turbulent 60s and centers around a group of hippies that in between taking a cross-country trek and playing music, experiment with LSD and other drugs, time-travel and occasionally find a way to get themselves murdered in a gruesome manner. The characters frequently alternate between the present & past & to make matters more confusing - go by different names. I forced myself to finish the book and still don't understand what happened.

Innocent and corrupt gentle and vicious, they were a family tied together beyond the grave. For the sins of the father damned their souls for all time.
THE PAST His heart blackened, his mind warped, he would have total obedience from his family and servants. Those who choose to disobey would not have the chance to defy him again.
THE PRESENT Fleeing and insidous evil, a group of frinds set off on a cross-country trip - unaware that they had no hope of escape.
THE FUTURE Haunted by a wickedness that knew no bounds, they hurtled toward a convergence of ages that was far from harmonic, a collision of past and present lives that could only end in a maelstrom of death and destruction.
