I sent two books to one member - they were on my account as "send these books together and save postage" so I know they were not two separate orders to the same person.

The receiver got both books and marked one received. She says the other book disappeared, so she buddied me a credit to make sure I got my credit. The second book is still waiting to be marked received on my "books I've mailed" tab.  I used DC, but when I checked last night it still said enroute, which is odd, because they were in the same package.

Suggestions?

How could she receive both books but say that 1 disappeared?  was the package torn open and it fell out?

if you used PBS DC you should have gotten your credit already, but I don't know how multiple orders work since I don't use DC

no -- the book disappeared off her account tabs! She checked in one book, but there was no second book to check in on the accounts page.

As for DC -- I don't know either. I have a three-book order on the way, so if she used DC I'll find out soon.

hmmm, that is odd.

I'd ask her to check her Transaction Archive and you should check yours just to make sure all is right.

I'd also send in a message to TPTB and have them look into it.  It might just be a glitch

I use DC on all of my transactions. Sometimes there is a hiccup in the communication between the PO and PBS.

When you mailed it and they scanned it at the PO, you should have received both credits then because your tab was showing it as a bulk order. So check your Credit Registry (top of your main page at right end of yellow bar) to see if you were credited for both titles. They should be listed individually. If they are both there, you will owe her the credit that she buddied you - after you get the system to mark both received.

It makes sense that she should only have had to answer one survey for a bulk order, but it is weird that it left it still on your tab.

After checking both the credit registry and the transaction archive you should report the glitch by using the contact button at the bottom of any page.

Please post back here once this gets resolved.

I had a bulk order shipped to me recently and had to mark each book received seperately.

Yeah, multiple book orders are weird. As a sender, if you use the PBS postage or DC, all credits for the books do (or are supposed to) come through when the package is marked mailed (as in the case of PBS postage) or when the DC is scanned (as in the case of using only the DC). I've never had it NOT work that way.

As a receiver, though, bulk orders separate on my 'enroute to me' tab as soon as the sender marks them mailed and I have to mark each received individually--I imagine this is so that if there is a problem with one book of a bulk order it wouldn't affect the whole order.
