Morning All!

Two issues:

I had requested a book and just about the time it should have been marked mailed, I started getting PMs from the sender that this was going wrong and that was going wrong and she would get it mailed asap.  She asked me to go ahead and mark it rec'd, but I was like, (nicely), no, I'll go in and send you a credit once I receive it.  So the book arrives---in one piece, though how I don't know.  The envelope was in tatters and the PO had actually rubber-banded it around the book so there was enough address left to make it deliverable.  But other than that, fine condition.  So by this point, PBS has put it in the transaction archive as an unsuccessful trade, so I went in and clicked the button that said yes, the book finally had arrived.  So here's my problem: I have a seond copy of the book on the way.  I don't know when it happened---was it just a weird coincidence in timing?  I had about twelve books requested---did I just miss that PBS put it thru to another PBS'r when the first was canceled?  I don't know.  But I have a feeling I am SOL--sadly out of luck---and I am going to have two copies of the book and have lost two credits.  But it's not the second senders fault, after all...

Issue 2: Somehow I managed to print a postage paid label to myself.  Anyway to get my $3.00 back?  I have NO idea how I managed to do that!  What a twit?

I'll tell you, it was really one of THOSE weeks last week---hope this one is better!

You'd have to contact PBS about the postage label to yourself.

Did she mark the book mailed?  If she didn't mark the book mailed and the system ordered a 2nd one for you-you should not have marked her received.  If it was a WL book that went lost, was put back on your WL and you knew she had mailed the book already-then you should have put the WL book on hold on your WL to prevent another copy from coming while you waited for hers.  (I say hold not delete because then if the 1st one didn't show up, you could have unheld and kept your place in line).

Also are you sure you received the one she sent?  That the one you received wasn't from the 2nd book that the system ordered for you?

If you go to the Help Center and Browse the Help Docs you'll see a FAQ for "Received 2 copies" but your scenario seems to be a mixture of a lost book received and the 2 copies problem.

Since you've marked the lost book/late mailed book as received you can't shirk the genuine sender who sent the 2nd copy out. You can just re-post one of the books and recover your credit that way.

/ ugh! stupid java won't let me link the FAQ
