Sometimes I read here that people are offering book deals:  two for one.  How does that work?  How do I find out about these things and where are you all posting it?

Thanks in advance.  Still learning.  : )

You can spot them in the forums at the bottom of people's posts they often will say something like "2 for 1 on my bookshelf" or when you are ordering a book, look at other books the member has on their bookshelf, and often at the top of their bookshelf page it will say "2 for 1, etc." Just keep your eyes open and you will start to see them. Also, go to the Book Bazaar under Discussion Forums, many offerings there.

The Book Bazaar discussion forum, as mentioned by Sally, above is the main place to find Book Bargains and listings for Book Deals.  It can be overwhelming, there are so many offerings there.  Sometimes, you can be a bit less inundated at first if you check out the genre-specific discussion forums for your favorite subjects.  If you like Mysteries, for example, check out the Mystery & Thrillers forum for deals there.

And, as Sally suggested, definitely look at the signatures of people who post in the forum as individual members often will promote bookshelf deals they are offering there!

You can learn more about the ins and outs of the Book Bazaar by reading the sticky thread at the top of the Book Bazaar page.  I'll post a link here as well :)

How to use this forum - please read before posting here!

All the genre forums should have a red sticky thread at the top for people to offer deals.  The forum regulars don't like it if you start threads asking or offering deals in the genre threads because then the genre forums get over run with deal threads.

A lot of people tag their reminder lists and then post in the BB asking people to offer them deals.  Or they just list what they're looking for.

And when you place an order, be sure to check the person's bookshelf header under the order more books option.  Folks often state if they are offering deals there.

And the procedure usually is, you order a book from the person, then send them a PM specifying the freebie, so they can remove it from their shelf so no one else ordersit
