1)  You can go to your From You pm's and click the Unread button - all the ones that haven't been read will be checked.

2)  The other person may have their account on hold for many reasons (vacation, postage costs, etc.).  There aren't any different rules or a time limit on a RWAP.  Hopefully they'll get back to you this week :)

1. When you go to your From You PM's and click the unread thread, do remember that they can read the PM in their email from PBS telling them about the PM.  So seeing it unread here really means very little.  Seeing it read here of course will tell you that they positively opened it.

Rosina, go with the number recommended.  If the hold concerns you, feel free to wait an additional 3 to 5 days.  Accounts can be placed on Vacation Hold for weeks, or even months...totally not fair to expect other members to wait possibly months to resolve a postability issue.  Wait a fair amount of time, then move forward with closing this issue and receiving a book in acceptable condition.

It's possible the sender put the account on hold thinking to avoid a complaint?

What happens to never read PM's?  Don't you have that check mark up there reminding you you have a PM (and the tab lit up in red) until the PM is opened and read here at PBS?  I've had a couple PM's never read by a member (when a book evidently went lost and I just wanted to double check with him to make sure he truly hadn't received it.   The person never responded to me and the system shows he never read the PM (or at least the last time I looked he hadn't).   How does someone just ignore a PM?  Unless, I guess if they never go to the main page of their account.

Never mind.  I figured it out on my own.  I can see that a person could simply delete a message (without ever reading it).   And I need to correct myself -- I just checked and see that the person I referred above did eventually read my PMs, but never responded.     I don't understand not sending back a simple, "No I never received the book".  It's sad to me that some are too busy, I guess,  to be bothered with something that is really just a small courtesy.   A non-response just leaves me completely in the dark about what might have happened to a book I sent but "went lost" in the system.

It's possible they fulfilled all outstanding orders and then put their account on hold because it's between paydays and they need to wait on Postage, or they're traveling. But even when they're on hold, they can still check their PMs and respond. I'd maybe give it a little more time, but not a ton more.
