Another tale of the Cockneys in London's East End. This one is about the luck and pluck of two orphans, 7 year old Ethel, and 10 year old Horace, and their quest to find a home after both of their parents are carried off by an influenza epidemic. They meet Jim Cooper, a one armed WWI veteran who finds a place in his heart and home for the little homeless orphans. Together they change the life of their staid landlady, Miss Pilgrim, and save her from damaging gossip. If you enjoy tales of this place and era you will enjoy this engaging, uplifting tale.
