The plot was OK. The character development was horrendous. The sexy scenes were fantastic. I'd give this book two thumbs down, but the erotic scenes just won't allow it.
Welcome to the wild, wild West -- where desire and danger come to draw.
When Paris sommer finds the secret diary of her great-great-grandmother, who ran an infamous bordello in the old West, her secret fantasies are ignited. Putting her librarian career to good use, she goes to Forked Creek, Nevada, to stay at the brothel and do some research. There Paris discovers a forbidden pleasure of her own: Mitchell Brand, a dead-sexy cowboy who knows just how to treat a woman -- and make her beg for more. Brand's hard-lovin' ways welcome Paris into a world of passion she's never known...until a mysterious treasure map hidden in the diary leads them to a place where peril and seduction collide.
This is not great literature of the world - but if you want steamy sex and a quick read, you may enjoy it.
Whooo-hoo, cowboy! Contemporary cowboy romance(?)or, should I say, sexual adventure? Explicit, graphic, sensual sex, and lots of it, with a pretty good mystery for a plot, and a few twists in there just for interest. The prerequisite happy ending was a little cornball, but the storyline was good.
IMO - this had the potential to a good story based off the back of the book, but you get a little bit of story with A LOT of sex (starts on page 28). Don't get me wrong, I like my erotica...but it was initially too unbelieveable for me (the female character has sex with the male character 'right' after she meets him and 'right' after she catches him going through her bags!!?) to get hooked into.
Every good girl has a wild side waiting to be let loose.....
