I ordered a book from a member who seems to be pretty new to PBS. She PM'd me to tell me she shipped the books out through UPS Ground. I have all my stuff shipped to a P.O. Box. I know normally UPS doesn't ship to P.O. Boxes. Has anyone ever had this happen before? Did you get your books delivered? |

My husband works for UPS and they won't deliver to a PO Box. He said that what will probably happen is UPS will send a postcard to your PO Box asking for a physical address to send the books to, or you could tell them you'll come and pick them up. He also said if you know the tracking number for the package, you can call 1-800-PICK-UPS and they can go ahead and do an address correction now so you won't have to worry about it when it's delivered. Thanks Ashley, I will try calling them. The lady gave me the tracking number but it is supposed to be delivered tomorrow so I don't know if it is too late. I didn't know she was going to ship them UPS as most people just do USPS. Thanks again! Charity |

A little warning. When you call UPS and have them ship to an alternate address, they may ask you for your credit card and charge you $4 to have it shipped to a different address. I had that happen to me recently. I have everything shipped to my office because I am gone all day and never home when UPS comes. Someone had something shipped to me UPS at my house, and when I called with the info notice number to have the package re-routed to my office, they charged me $4. If it hasn't been delivered yet, you can still have it re-routed. They will attempt to deliver the package 3 times before they return it to the sender. |

It would never occur to me to ship a book by UPS. That can't be cheap! |

I believe they can through a service call UPS Mail Innovations. Check out their website. I ordered something from WalMart and gave them my PO BOX #. It looked like the order started with UPS, then UPS Mail Innovations, then US Post Office to my PO BOX. It took a little longer than normal because of the connections between services. I don't know if anyone can use the UPS Mail Innovations or if they only work with large retailers, but you could check their website for more information. |
