I know that many people loved this book, but I did not. I always believed that God was loving and forgiving. This book just leaves the reader with a feeling of hopelessness. (SPOILER) To treat a mass murderer the same as a wornout caregiver who only daydreams about abandoning her demanding parents, just goes against everything one believes about forgiveness.
I enjoyed reading this book. It leaves you thinking about things. Priorities, motives and alot of other things that are easy to ignore.

Angela Hunt write exceptional allegories. This is another good one but on a subject that we all need to deal with. 5 college friends decide to go on a working vacation when the 6th friend suddenly dies. Only a storm sends them onto a little island where nothing is as it seems. Here they must strive hard to make life bearable while they try to discover a way off the island. But, the island isn't going to let them go. If you want something thought-provoking, give this book a try.
