Has anyone else here read this book? I have it and it just blows me away. It has different essay-type stories about our country and some of the people who have helped form it. It is very interesting to read our history this way and it shows God's hand in the forming of our country. The stories are amazing and delightful. I HIGHLY recommend this book if you haven't read it. It is easy to read because you can read one essay fairly quickly and then put it down, come back to it later and start a new story.
I rarely keep books- I trade them off as soon as I finish reading them, but this is one book that will stay on my keeper shelf! I have already read it thru, but keep picking it back up and re-reading some of the stories because they are so amazing and wonderful. It has stories about Sojourner Truth, Abe Lincoln, Benedict Arnold, Paul Revere, Daniel Webster, and many more (some not well-know people also).
