I read a lot of YA but I usually don't read new releases or best sellers. Looking for recommendations for YA realistic, dystopia and multicultural lit. If you're like me and don't immediately read popular or new releases, please share your recommendations.

Thanks,

The indy author David Estes has a good dystopian series, which can be bought on Amazon:  The Dwellers Saga, consisting of The Moon Dwellers, The Star Dwellers and The Sun Dwellers.  These tie into his Country Saga:  Fire Country, Ice Country, Water and Storm Country.  I've read all of them, and they are very good.

He's an indy author, so his books are promoted like The Hunger Games or others like it, but he can really tell a story!

I really enjoyed Partials by Dan Wells. It's a series, the first two are out (Partials and Fragments) and the third Ruins is due next year. It's dystopian and science fictiony with cylon-esque villans. The main character is also Indian. It's meatier than most YA, heavier on the science fiction, less on the romance. I enjoyed them both and am eager for the next book to come out!

I also love the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. Dystopian and fast-moving. Good romance.
