What a wonderful book. I enjoyed myself from the moment I began reading this tale of love. I thought the characters were well developed and the story line moved was fantastic. I felt that the author captured the heartache of the father and the anger he harbored perfectly. Being a Social Workers myself I found that I could relate to the feels and frustrations of placing a child in a home that you weren't so sure was a good match. I've been conflicted myself about that. The way the author portrayed the other characters was equally as fascinating. This would be a wonderful book to read to your children while sipping coco on a cold winters night. I did not realize that the author was a minister when I ordered it and the many biblical references were a delight to read. I look forward to order his next book in the series. I am sure it will be just as delightful and heart warming as this book.

One of the best books I have read. Great read for the Christmas season! The story of a little boy and his journey through loss and his impact on his embittered grandfather.
