I just tried to order the first Hunger Games novel- 103 copies available- and received the message above. What in the heck is this all about?? Anyone ever get this message?

Since you didn't list any details other than the book title, it's hard to say what happened. I just did a search for "hunger games" and clicked on the first listing on the results page.(ISBN 9780439023528), and the listing does say there are 103 available copies. I clicked "Order This Book" and was taken to the normal order page without any error message, so I suspect it was simply a system glitch in your case. I'd suggest trying again.

The only time I recall ever encountering the message "Unfortunately, this book is no longer available for requesting" is after I just ordered a book (by clicking on the "Process My Order" button) and then clicked my browser's back arrow to try to return to the previous search or browse page.

if you haven't restarted your computer in a while that sometimes helps for me when weird messages come up.

This can happen if you click Order More From Member instead of Process My Order. While you're browsing the member's shelf, he can still remove the book or put his account on vacation hold; or someone else can order it. You can just order it again and your request will go to the next member in line.

I had this happen once with a book that had only 1 copy in the system. I have no idea why it happened but I waited an hour or two and tried again and the order went through fine.

Hi- When I use my browsers back arrow right after requesting a book and processing the order I will frequently get this message, Usually what it means is that I got the only available copy of that title.  I've always gotten the books I've ordered and then gotten this message and have discovered that if I don't page back in Explorer but instead just go straight to my acct via PBS buttons then I do not get the message. I have no idea why it would say this if there are 103 copies available. Now that sounds like a glitch! I wouldn't worry-- you will very likely get the book you ordered. maybe even more than one copy angel
