THIS Charles Grandison Finney was NOT the pedant preacher Charles G. Finney of an earlier generation who authored various late-19th-Century rule-oriented guides to practicing Christianity; THIS Charles G. Finney was the great-grandson of the former, and was a Tucson, Arizona newspaperman of the 1930s and later who is one of the great fantasy writers of our time. His best-known work was "The Circus of Dr. Lao". His few books of stories are full of fantasy, fable, moral, fun; his writing is quick-to-read, full of esoteric and exotic humor, and pungent to consider. All of his books are worth the effort to locate, read, and keep or pass on.
