Unnatural Dykes to Watch out For is Alison Bechdel's sixth sordid collection, her candid cartoon expose of contemporary lesbian life. She gives us a complete and unexpurgated look at the women - our heroines - who have "strayed beyond the bounds of decent society."

This book is best if you're already familiar with the series, but still quite enjoyable if you're not. It's light drama centered around a group of lesbian friends and the people they interract with. I found the characters to be a little too stereotypical (one works in an independent women's bookstore, another is a rabid political activist, another a new stay-at-home-mom...), but fun nonetheless. Recommended for people who don't mind culture outside the mainstream.
