Topic: Update on my Sister

My Sister was admitted  back into the hospital.  She had major difficulty breathing coupled with a spike in blood pressure and very low heart rate. It ended up being blood clots that have worked their way to her lungs. The doctors don't think there is anything left that they can do for her but to keep her comfortable.

  Her condition has also worsened to the point where she cannot leave Houston which is disappointing.  We had hoped she would be able to spend her last days at home in Dalton.  So my Daddy and I are preparing to make this heartbreaking trip to Houston tomorrow.  Why a 40 year old woman has had to spend the last 4 years of her life battling this terrible cancer is hard to understand but I know it is part of God's greater plan.

Susan says that she is tired but at peace with everything that is going on and knows that it is part of God's plan.  She has fought this cancer with everything that she has, she has truly been a warrior. 

I feel like I know so many of you on this board and I have shared so much with you regarding this I wanted to let you know how things were.  Your prayers and well wishes have been so kind and I just wanted to thank you and ask that you remember  me in prayers and thoughts.  As prepared as I thought I was I am not.  This is one of the hardest things I have ever done.

We are no longer going to be headed to Houston - The Lord decided she had fought this terrible battle long enough and called her home today shortly after 2:00.  Thank you all so much for all of the prayers and kind thoughts.

Kaye crying with you..I just found this thread .....Remember the 23rd Psalm states I WILL DWELL ...she is with the Lord now.....Praying for you

I'm sorry, I haven't been on in a while and just read your thread.  I'm very sorry for your loss.  *hugs* 

My sister has had vast medical problems for as long as I can remember.  She had her first heart attack at 36 and 3 more since.  She's had more surgeries than I can count, and last year she had brain surgery for an aneurysm that was over an 8 in size.  Now, they find that her aortic aneurysm has grown substantially and they have to do surgery, but she only has one kidney so the surgery is an experimental one and very life-threatening.  She's going in less than two weeks and I'm terrified.   

My thoughts are with you, Kaye, I know it's a terrible loss and words cannot help much.
