I need some suggestions on what to read next. I want something more dark and exciting but I want some romance in it also. If it is Paranormal Romance it has to have some action or meat in it not just romance. Urban Fantasies are my favorite but my true passion is an Urban Fantasy with romance involved. You can go check out my goodreads link to see what I have read and what I have on my tbr list if you would like. Please I would love all suggestions I am desperate here..lol

You do seem to have read or at least have all of my top picks.  Some other paranormal series to look at might be (if you have read these and I missed them I'm sorry):

Doomsday Brethern by Shayla Black

Guardians of Eternity by Alexandra Ivy

Darkyn by Lynn Viehl

Guardians by Meljean Brook- some people can't get into the first one and have had better luck starting with Demon Night; I liked the first two though

If I think of any others I'll stop back.

Jamie, I can't think of anything since you've read everything I've read considering you are my book twin and all.

I looked at your Goodreads page and gosh! you have so many authors posted I really couldn't tell what to suggest, but just in case my list contains someone you haven't tried, am sending.  There are some lesser-known or older authors that I really like that I don't see on common lists- like Nancy Collins, Sherry Gottlieb, Cacek, Sunny.  I have not included any authors that write primarly romances with paranormal elements- I don't like schmaltz or sappy love scenes.

To list below add:  Cat Adams, Lyn Benedict, Sonya Bateman, Carolyn Crane, Marianne de Pierres, Alisa Sheckley, K A Stewart.

Keri Arthur W R

Kelley Armstrong W R

Jenna Black V R

PD or Patricia Cacek W V

Karen Chance V R

Nancy Collins V

Mary Janice Davidson (very light, comic) V R

JOcelynn Drake V

Jeaniene Frost V

Sherry Gottlieb V

Laurell K Hamilton V SH W

Charlaine Harris (Sookie Stackhouse series) V W SG R

Kim Harrison V W R

Maria Lima W

Kelly Meding

Karen Marie Moning (Darkfever series) R

Chloe Neill

Jennifer Rardin V

Lilith Saintcrow (demons) R

Jeanne C Stein V

Sunny (sort of vamps) R

Karen Taylor V

Carrie Vaughn W SH R

Rachel Vincent W SH

Paranormal- misc. vamps, weres, sorcerers, etc.

Poppy Z Brite

Jim Butcher (wizard Harry Dresden series) V W

Harry Connolly

Mick Farren V

M L N Hanover

Tanya Huff (the Blood series, and the Smoke series) V

Tasula - I see you've listed some male authors.   I guess I'm predjudiced about male authors writing romance so I have to ask, are they really any good in romance dept.?  Normally, I would skip right over them becuase they're men but if they really can write romance well, I'll be all over that! lol

The OP asked about UF and PNR.  Jim Butcher & Simon Green are awesome,  I like Christopher Moore but not as much.  All 3 are firmly in the UF camp IMHO.  I"m not sure what the other guys on the list write but I'd assume UF.
