I have been trying to find a way to organize all the recipes I have at home.  I have tried making my own website for them but it is just not  very organized.  I have thought about trying a free recipe oganizer that you can down load.  I was hoping you all could give me some good information on this.

I actually Save mine as word documnets in a template that I created.  and oranize them myself.   for instance I have a folder for appetizers with sub folders for asian style, tex mex style, Italian style, ect.  I do that with every folder so that I can find my recipes after I have put them in the pc.

I'm not as organized as you with the subfolders and divisions, but I'll get there. Meanwhile they're all waiting for me in "My Recipes" folder. But this method requires lots of typing.

Renee: Consider ring binders

Photocopy or type the recipes you want to access frequently and slip them into plastic page sleeves that are punched for the 3-ring binder. Sleeves are available at Walmart and Sam's Club, or at office supply stores. I'm still experimenting with how to divide one group of recipes from another; the dividers available aren't 'deep' enough -- the plastic tabs don't stick out enough to read, so must hunt for them. This doesn't work for me, but I'm experimenting with creative fixes for the problem.

I have hundreds of recipes in notebooks dating back to the mid-70s. The old notebooks contain pages of recipes that are glued in willy-nilly. Boy was that a mistake. But it worked at the time.
