I could not get through this book. I told myself to give it 100 pages, but I couldn't even get that far. The author seemed to be trying too hard to be somewhat highbrow, but it came off as uppity. Also, I don't care for Freud and one of his cases ties into the story. I rarely quit on a book, and could have made myself finish it, but with so many books to read, why make myself miserable?

This book was impossible to get through. I usually muddle through but I just couldn't do it with this book. The writing was over the top making each sentence a struggle just to get through. I have better things to do with my time and other books on my TBR list so I gave up and moved on.
