I just used PBS DC and printed postage  for the first time. When I marked the book mailed I received an "instant credit" and it says when the DC is scanned I'll receive my credit. Do I get 2 credits from the book for using PBS DC or printed postage??? If not what does it mean?

Happy Friday & Thank you :)

From the Help Center:

When will I get my credit if I use Printed Postage?

  • You will get your credit instantly, as soon as you click the Book Has Been Mailed button.
  • You will get an email telling you that you have gotten credit
    • You will also get an email telling you when the book has been marked received; you will not get a second credit when that happens.
  • If your book is declared lost in the Mail at PBS or is returned to you by USPS for some reason, you get to keep the Instant Credit

The emails just go out automatically for both the DC and the Instant for Postage. It will also send an email when the book is marked rec'd that you now have another credit, even tho you won't really, since you already got it. They just didn't make the system not send duplicate emails for multiple triggers. You only get one :)

Sherry, I use printed postage, and when I mark a book mailed I get only one email saying I got instant credit, and that i will get another "courtesy email" when the book is received.   Then when the book is received i get the courtesy email.  I don't get double emails and I don't get anything telling me i will get credit when the book is scanned (since I am using Printed postage, not DC).

Are other ppl getting double/conflicting-message emails when they use printed postage?
