We'll be going away for Christmas week like a bunch of folks here will be doing..... we will leave on Sunday 22nd so I plan on putting shelf on hold on Friday so I don't have to deal with orders that come in on Fri or SAT when we're packing and getting ready to go. But then I got to thinking.....what if I get an order on TH...... can I accept and print label and package it, but wait to mail on Fri or SAT if my acct is already on hold? Or will the "hold" prevent me from even marking the accepted order as 'mailed'? Last Edited on: 12/6/13 3:39 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Jeanne - yes, you can accept an order from Thursday, accept it and package it, and mail it even with your account being on hold. I do that when I'm going to be away for a few days. I've even taken the package with me to mail at my destination and then, as I had access to a computer there, marked the book mailed and all was well. Have fun on your holiday. Pat |

Yup. The only things that a Vacation Hold stops is requests coming in and Wish List offers that are not set to auto-request. Since it doesn't allow requests, it won't allow you to post to another members' Wish List while in a Vacation Hold either. But otherwise, you can do everything else in your account - mark books mailed, request books yourself, mark books received. |
