I'm leaving for vacation later this week and decided to put my account on vacation hold early so I don't have to worry about getting books to the post office. So, last night I put my account on vacation hold starting 4/2/18 until 4/8/18. This morning (4/3/18) I got a request for a book. Any ideas why this is happening?

I'm assuming the bad gateway messages mean your 'hold' didn't take. I marked a book received the other night and the next morning found it still listed under 'en route to you'. |

There is definitely something strange going on. I just checked my vacation setting and it still says that I'm out from 4/2 - 4/8. No idea why I got the request. |

Maybe they requested last night. I know we havea window of time to chsnge our minds before the sender sees it. Maybe this is what happened? |

If the book was requested, say, at 9:00, there's a one-hour buyer's remorse period, so you wouldn't have seen the request until 10:00. So if you placed your account on Vacation Hold at 9:30, the request would have been active already, but it wouldn't have appeared until 10:00. It's a pretty unusual situation, but it can happen. |

A question-- When I'm on vacation hold, will the function that lets you send a WL book to a friend instead of first in line still work? |

Question: If I place my account on Vacation Hold, does that mean I'm on vacation even if I stay at home, or do I have to go someplace? Another thought.... Since I'm retired I'm actually on vacation all the time. Does that mean I should my account on permanent vacation hold? |
