I recently placed my account on vacation hold because I was going to be away over the holidays. At the time I placed my account on hold, I had a book that was on someone's wish list, but they had not contacted me to verify that they wanted the book. I returned to find a letter from pbs "scolding" me for not answering someone's request for one of my books.  Will this go on some kind of record against me?

It will only count against you if it happens on a regular basis.  Don't worry about it, Wendy!  Sometimes these things happen.  I hope you had a great vacation!

Seriously, though, the scolding letters are just form letters and just part of the process.  Don't take it to heart.
