What happens if while on vacation a request is made for one of your posted books and you don't have access to email or the books to ship until you return home? It could be a two weeke delay. Kathy L |

If you are going on vacation you should put your account on vacation hold. There is a link on your bookshelf page. If you are conerned about WL books, make sure that they are on Auto Request, and that you have enough credits to cover books you might be offered. |

If you put your account on vacation hold, you won't get any requests for your posted books. That's the purpose of vacation hold. If any transactions are in process when your vacation hold starts, then those transactions will go through to completion/cancellation. Ideally you would not have any books you've posted in wish list hold or in 1 hr buyer's remorse when your vacation starts so that nothing will get canceled. I usually set my hold to start for the current date rather than the first day of my actual vacation. E.g. if we're leaving Saturday morning, and I'm logged in Thursday night, I'll set my hold to start on Thursday. That way no books will get requested on Friday when I will be too busy to login, accept, wrap, mail, etc. |

What will happen if you don't use Vacation Hold and don't access your account is that the transactions will time out and be cancelled. Any books beign requested from you that time out will be removed from your shelf. Any WL books that have an offer time out will be removed from your WL. If you have too many timed out transactions (which we don't know that actual number, but might be set at 1 now), your account will be put on hold or suspended until you come back and take care of business. |
