This story has Sherlock Holmes on the trail of the murderer of a man who was killed in his English manor home with a sawed off shot gun blast to the face (gruesome). Why was his wedding ring taken, but not his others? How did the killer cross the moat? Has his shady past caught up with him, or are his wife and best friend hiding something? I had never read Sherlock Holmes, and I enjoyed it very much.
