For teen vampire books, check out Rachel Caine's Morganville series, starts with Glass Houses. there's also a Vampire Academy series, and a series that starts with Marked I think that one is PC Cast... and from my junior high days, The Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith. It's a four book series- excellent, though!! |

I strongly suggest Night World No. 1 by L.J. Smith. Also.. The House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast, The Last Vampire series by Christopher Pike, The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle both series by L.J. Smith. |

When I need to find a good vampire book I usually go on yahoo and search "Teen booklists" or "Young Adult Vampire books." After a little bit of digging, I usually find a good one to check out. Plus, the booklist usually have pics of the covers and summaries--not something the users here always do. |

The Secret Circle series was about witches, not vampires. However the Vampire Diaries was a FABULOUS series. And LJ Smith is writing a new trilogy about Damon of that series! *love* Most of the Night World books by LJ Smith have vampires. You're lucky too because she's re-releasing all her books. The Vampire Diaries series was released in two books and the Night World series is being released in 3 books. And she's finally releasing the last night world book - strange fate. About time! Can you tell I love LJ? |

Umm, The Vampire Chronicles series by Anne Rice was really good. |

I'd have to agree on the: The Last Vampire series by Christopher Pike The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle both series by L.J. Smith. They got me started on my paranormal obsession.... :) |

There is a really good series although I don't know the author.... it is a series and the first one is called Vampire Kisses. They are really good. This book is also about a girl falling in love with a vampire, except this girl is goth and the vampire goes a little bit more by vampire pirnciples (he doesn't go out in daylight, you can't see his reflection, etc.) Try it! : ) |

I'm currently reading the Cirque du Freak series by Darren Shan. Great YA vampire series. |

I agree the House of Night series by PC Cast and the Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Cain are really good. I read them after reading Twilight. Another good book it Tithe by Holly Black, not vampires but it could get you through while you're waiting for another to come in. |

I agree with everyone on what they said, but there is also THE SOUTHERN VAMPIRE series by Charlene Harris. That series is extremely good. Sometimes you can find it in the YA section and sometimes in the Horror section at used book stores. |

House of Night by PC & Kristin Cast Vampire Academy Vampire Diaries - LJ SMITH Vampire Kisses - Ellen Schrieber if i think of anymore I'll update |
|||
|
|||
I've got a few of them on my bookshelf yet. |

I definitely have to put my vote into the Southern Vampire/Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris! I've read the first three books (there are 8 total with a 9th coming out within the next few months) and they are really great. The HBO series "True Blood" is also based off the books, and it is as equally great! |

No one's mentioned this yet, but I loved "Evernight" by Claudia Gray. It's the first in a series. The sequel is called "Stargazer." I can't wait to read it, and whatever she writes after that one.
I also love the "Vampire Academy" books. So far I have just read the first one, and I loved it. I even got my dad to read it, and he was begging for more. |
