I loved the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward.   What other paranormal/vampire stories would you recommend for a BDB fan?  I've read the Sookie Stackhouse books.   I'm looking for something with a bit of romance and strong, somewhat alpha males.

Thanks.

I would definitely recommend Sunshine by Robin McKinley.  It's a really good read and I love the vampire in it.  If you feel like venturing into the realm of werewolves, check out Kitty and the Midnight Hour.  It's a series that reads a lot like Sookie Stackhouse with the mystery element and the humor.  There are also strong main guys in the series, especially when you get to Kitty Goes to War.

Thanks!   I'm off to put those on my Wish List.

BDB reminds me a lot of the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh.  Each book is about a different couple, and most of them are alpha males. :)  No vampires, but lots of other paranormal types.

You may like the Darkyn series by Lynn Viehl.  Similar to BDB in that each book covers a different member of the group and there are strong males to match some strong female characters.  Very good.

I also love the Black Dagger Brotherhood! The authors who have the most similiar writing style (but unique in their own way) to me, are Pamela Palmer, who does a series called The Feral Warriors, and Lara Adrian, who does the Midnight Breed series. They are hot, hot, hot! :) I also have a dozen or so authors I could add to that, but don't want to overwhelm you!
