I loved the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward. What other paranormal/vampire stories would you recommend for a BDB fan? I've read the Sookie Stackhouse books. I'm looking for something with a bit of romance and strong, somewhat alpha males. |

I would definitely recommend Sunshine by Robin McKinley. It's a really good read and I love the vampire in it. If you feel like venturing into the realm of werewolves, check out Kitty and the Midnight Hour. It's a series that reads a lot like Sookie Stackhouse with the mystery element and the humor. There are also strong main guys in the series, especially when you get to Kitty Goes to War. |

BDB reminds me a lot of the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh. Each book is about a different couple, and most of them are alpha males. :) No vampires, but lots of other paranormal types. |

You may like the Darkyn series by Lynn Viehl. Similar to BDB in that each book covers a different member of the group and there are strong males to match some strong female characters. Very good. |

I also love the Black Dagger Brotherhood! The authors who have the most similiar writing style (but unique in their own way) to me, are Pamela Palmer, who does a series called The Feral Warriors, and Lara Adrian, who does the Midnight Breed series. They are hot, hot, hot! :) I also have a dozen or so authors I could add to that, but don't want to overwhelm you! |
